Seaweed series

Easter weekend was spent in the Tamatarau Hall showing my ellipse works inspired by dried seaweed seen on our Northland beaches this summer. Each work evokes a memory of tide-line detritus... of the feeling of popping Neptunes Necklace as a child, picking up long entwined hanks of kelp or crispy fern like trails of sun blackened seaweed.
